“The God Who Sees”

Anyone with a title is expected to be and do just what their title suggests.

A teacher is one who teaches, thats what they do. A trainer should get you in shape/train your body(I want one, let me know if you know somebody 🙂 ). A manager is expected to manage, they were hired for it. An investor better be investing in something!

The same goes for our God! One of God’s titles is El Roi, which is Hebrew for “the God Who sees”. In the 21st century, life gets so busy that relationships don’t get cultivated as much as they used to and in 2017 everyone seems to have an understanding that “I won’t see you often if you aren’t in my immediate family/household”. So, unintentionally we tend to charge God with the same thing…but it’s time to renew our minds in that area concerning God. He is El Roi.

So why is that important? Well in conjunction with… Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever…

God is still “the God who sees” in 2017. Don’t be rocked into thinking that God isn’t aware of every moment or is distant in the either the good, the bad, the times of uncertainty, the times of wondering, the times of doubt, the times of feeling alone, or the times of frustration…He is there for it all. I named times in life that are less enjoyable because we really don’t question “the God who sees” in times of blessings and when things are going right. We just need to be reminded that He doesn’t walk out the door when things get rough and come back in when the good times roll, He is ever present.

Genesis 16:13 And she called the name of the Lord that spake unto her, Thou God seest me: for she said, Have I also here looked after him that seeth me?

Although Hagar’s reality was such a messy situation(not initially by choice), she was given the testimony that God saw her. If Hagar hadn’t been in this situation we don’t know if she would’ve ever known God in this way and bless many that read about her moment. God has given us testimonies where we can confidently relate to Hagar and call God El Roi!!!

Think on those times in life and remember, He is still and will always be El Roi, the God who sees.

Hebrews 4:13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

P.S. It’s not Elroy it’s (EL raw-EE), I thought that was funny lol! 🙂

P.S.S. I also wanted to share this analogy/nugget I was thinking of when I wrote/typed this blog. Have you ever been somewhere and a child falls or hurts themselves and the parent loudly whispers to others, “don’t look, don’t look!”??? I have!!! What normally happens is everybody avoids looking at the child and he/she looks around for pity but if it isn’t identified the child is ok and continues on in their adventure. Sometimes it can be the same with God. How can I say that and be sure? God is a parent. Did the parent see? Yes, but we all know that if everybody looks the child cries and just can’t go on. So the question isn’t does God see me (because I know He does), the question is can I go on even when it seems like He doesn’t.
